Join Sheridan's Mission Zero and Green teams for the next Sustainability Speaker Series session!

Each month, visiting speakers share practical ways to live eco-consciously and thoughtfully while discussing a variety of topics. The focus is on individual actions we can take to make an impact.

All members of the Sheridan community are welcome as we promote and encourage sustainability.

Our session for November is called “Talking Trash,” and the topic is waste. What happens to it? And how can we be mindful of the waste we generate?

Join us on Wednesday, November 3 from 12 p.m.–1 p.m. as we welcome Eileen Chen, an environmental scientist with extensive experience in waste management planning.

In this session, Eileen will introduce the issue of waste and plastics, describe current and future legislation, share with you what happens to our waste once it’s been disposed of, and provide tips and pointers about what we can do to tackle waste as individuals and as a community.
