Chris Adams, Kinesiology & Health Promotion, 2020
Clinical Lead/Lead Recruiter at Lifemark Seniors Wellness

Chris AdamsChris Adams is a proud graduate of Sheridan’s Kinesiology and Health Promotion program. The program was a perfect fit for him as he had always had a passion for fitness and health. He currently works as a Clinical Lead/Lead Recruiter at Lifemark Seniors Wellness. Chris uses his skills developed at Sheridan to excel in this role. He creates exercise programs for seniors, trains and hires new staff, and runs online exercise programs for dozens of clients. He recently passed the Registered Kinesiologist exam and is in the process of completing his registration with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario. In his day-to-day life outside of work, Chris golfs…as much as possible…and he coaches rep volleyball for the club where he spent 6 years playing.

Respiratory Therapy Student at Conestoga College

Camila OrellanaCamila Orellana Larach is a Sheridan Kinesiology & Health Promotion alumna, who is continuing her education in Respiratory Therapy. A Respiratory Therapist is a specialized healthcare practitioner who is trained in cardio-pulmonary medicine to help support therapeutically people who suffer acute critical conditions, cardiac or pulmonary disease. Bailey Vandorp, Kinesiology & Health Promotion, 2021
Masters of Public Health – Gerontology Student at Lakehead University

Bailey VandorpBailey Vandorp recently graduated from the Kinesiology & Health Promotion program through Sheridan in the spring of 2021 and started the Masters of Public Health program at Lakehead University in the fall of 2021. She chose the MPH program with a specialization in Gerontology because she enjoys working with the aging population and want to gain more knowledge about public health practices and policies. Her goals for the upcoming years are to learn more in-depth knowledge about practicing public health in smaller communities and how to provide the aging population with proper public health services in the future! Some of Bailey’s interests outside of education include travelling, flying, and hiking with friends!

Paul Croswell, Kinesiology & Health Promotion, 2021

Paul CroswellPaul graduated from Sheridan's Kinesiology & Health Promotion program in 2021. Currently, he is studying for a professional-based master's degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology at the University of Delaware in Delaware, USA, gaining tons of hands-on experience in the chronic disease rehabilitation field and enjoying every minute of it. Paul’s career objective is to obtain the ACSM-CEP & R. Kin designations to work in the clinical setting for chronic disease management & rehabilitation.

Callie O’Connor, Kinesiology & Health Promotion, 2021

Callie O'ConnorCallie graduated from the Kinesiology and Health Promotion program at Sheridan in April 2021. Throughout her undergraduate degree, she completed many placements and internships alongside various healthcare professionals that allowed her to explore the field of physical rehabilitation. This led her to pursuing a Doctorate of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College beginning in August 2021. Although her free time is very limited, Callie enjoys hiking with her dog, baking, and crafting using a Cricut machine.

Jessalyn CarvajalAfter earning her HBSc. in Kinesiology and Health Promotion from Sheridan College, Jessalyn continued her education pursuing a Master's of Public Health. While completing her Master's degree, she entered the workforce in the field of Health Promotion, joining the Student Wellness department with Mohawk College. Jessalyn’s current role with the institution has granted her the opportunity to explore her passion for the promotion and protection of the health and well-being of post-secondary student populations.

Ledia GamilLedia graduated from Sheridan College in 2020 with an Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences in Kinesiology and Health Promotion. Due to her strong passion for public health and health promotion, she decided to continue her education and pursue her Master of Public Health.  Currently, she is completing her MPH at Brock University.

Martina GrecoMartina Greco is an alumna of Sheridan College graduating in 2016. In 2019, she graduated with merit from the University of Dundee in Scotland with a Master’s degree in Public Health. She went on to begin a small consulting group offering best practice, and advice for improving workplace safety (under the context of COVID-19 pandemic), and wellbeing to small construction companies. She is currently working at The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre, as a Program Evaluation Coordinator for Geriatric Psychiatry Outreach and Behavior Supports Ontario program. She is a passionate advocate of equitable and just policy, and hopes to pursue her PhD in the future.

Jeff RansomeJeff Ransome holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and later continued his education with the American Council of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association earning certifications as an Exercise Specialist, Exercise Physiologist and Sports Conditioning Specialist.

Jeff's experience includes over 2 decades developing youth athletes to become high performing rep level athletes to providing young teens the skills and strength needed to guarantee university and college scholarships.  His experience continues with professional, amateur and Olympic athletes from a large variety of sports including: hockey, soccer, baseball, lacrosse, football, track athletes, endurance athletes, martial arts (MMA), dance and fitness competitors.

Sports Injury Rehabilitation Experience
In Addition, Jeff is an expert in rehabilitation, helping patients reach and often exceed pre-injury performance using modern, scientific and a balanced approach to stability and foundation training that is often neglected in today's saturated world of fitness.

Jeff was also the host of the t.v. series Training With Pro's and is the founder and President of Velocity Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation, Mississauga and Velocity Sports Medicine & Training Centre, Burlington.
