Courageous Conversations: Black People Need to Catch their Breath

Date: Jun. 2, 2020

Time: 12 p.m.1 p.m.

Location: Online

In the wake of the tragic and disconcerting incidents which took place in late May 2020, Inclusive Communities is hosting a roundtable to hold a space for members of the Sheridan Community who want to respond in solidarity to the disregard for and loss of Black lives.

Our community has asked that we engage in a much-needed conversation about anti-Black racism. As co-workers, classmates, a community and its leaders, we will be bold enough to have this courageous conversation because it can neither wait nor be avoided. We will provide an open forum to explore the question we hear a lot - what can I do?

Join with open hearts and minds, the courage to speak, and the humility to listen, hear and reflect in a new way.
