Cooperative Education

Your health and wellbeing is our priority. We're advising employers and students to prioritize their health and safety and safeguard the health of our community by complying with the advice being issued by public health officials regarding COVID-19.

Our intent is to support our students so they can earn recognition and credit for their work terms, and we're exploring all options for student success even if their work term has been shortened as a result of COVID-19.

Financial Assistance – Government Resources

The Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario have announced several sources of financial assistance for those facing hardship as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Students can use the Financial Relief Navigator to view a list of emergency benefits and relief supports that they may be eligible for from the government.

Food & Housing – Community Resources

Food and housing security is a challenge for many people during the COVID-19 pandemic. If you need assistance, please reach out to one of these community organizations that offer food or housing assistance.

We are not accepting walk-in appointments, but if you call the Health Centre, we will try our best to fit you in on the same day.

To contact the Health Centre and set up a virtual consultation, please call 905-459-7533, and use the extension number of your respective campus (listed above).

You will need to provide your onecard and health card or Guard.me card anytime you are accessing the Health Centres.

All Health Centre appointments are initially booked virtually. A nurse, nurse practitioner or physician will meet with you by phone and then determine if an in-person evaluation is required.

At both Trafalgar and Davis Campuses, the Health Centre provides services in CLINIC and in a separate location called the “DRIVE THRU” for quicker procedures.

  • Therefore, for all in-person appointments, please contact the Health Centre directly for instructions on how you should access the campus as procedures have changed at both campuses during COVID. Please arrive early and be prepared for extra screening measures.

We offer COVID-19 testing for students if they meet the following criteria: 

  • Symptomatic with COVID-19 symptoms 
  • Close contact with COVID-19 positive individuals
  • International students who require COVID testing for placements.

Covid vaccines are available to all Sheridan College students and employees with a booked appointment.

IT Service Desk

IT Service Desk is available to provide support remotely (phone, chat, email) Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–10 p.m.:

  • IT Service counters will not be open for walk-up support; appointments can be made for drop-off and pick-up of IT equipment.

Library & Learning Services

Sheridan’s Library & Learning Services teams will be supporting the Sheridan community on campus and remotely during the Fall 2021 semester. When on campus, please note the following:

  • Limited seating is provided in the common areas, and study rooms are available for individual use only. Printers/scanners are available in the library for students with booked study spaces. Book your seat at https://roombooking.sheridancollege.ca. For study space with a computer, select PC from the booking page.
  • To borrow library items, search our catalogue and place a hold on items you need. Drop boxes to return library items are located at the entrances of the Davis and Trafalgar campuses. Additional drop boxes can also be found indoors at various locations within each campus.
  • Short term loans, including textbooks, are not currently available to students. Textbooks can be purchased at the Sheridan Bookstore.
  • No food or drink is allowed in the library at this time.

Tutoring and Academic Integrity Remediation appointments can be booked through Tutor Ocean. See Tutoring on Sheridan Central for drop-in hours and services.

Digital library materials (e-books, articles/e-journals or databases) are always available 24/7 with your Sheridan credentials. Search the Library to discover all the resources the library has to offer!

If you have questions about doing research, citations, or using library services, our Chat with Us instant messaging service is available during our virtual service hours.

onecard Office

Current office hours: Monday–Friday 10 a.m.–2 p.m.

From September 7 to Oct 1, 2021: The onecard office at Trafalgar and Davis will be open from Monday–Friday: 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. and HMC will be open Monday–Friday 10 a.m.–2 p.m. (all our services will be available and we will revisit what hours will look like in October).

  • Have any enrolment or schedule questions? We can help – join our daily interactive Webex session hosted by our Records team. The session runs every day starting Wednesday, August 11, to Friday, September 10 (from 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m. each day).

Tutoring

Tutoring sessions are available through Webex. View instructions for booking a tutor.

Tutoring will be open for in-person services two days per week at each campus on Wednesdays and Thursdays beginning on September 8. We will have one staff member on site at the service desks for walk-ins and support as well as two tutors seeing students via drop-in and 1:1 appointments. Below is the breakdown of what tutoring is available at each campus. The rest of our tutoring services will remain virtual.

Hazel McCallion Campus (Mississauga):
