Scott Strattens Latest Book and Podcast Tackle Business Advice Overload

October 10, 2013

Social media marketing expert Scott Stratten is aiming his latest book and podcast at “fed-up business people.” “None of us needs another list of what we should be doing,” says Scott whose latest book, QR Codes Kill Kittens, tells you what not to do to improve your business.

QR Codes Kill Kittens: How to Alienate Customers, Dishearten Employees, and Drive Your Business into the Ground “filters out all of the bad advice, misinformation, and misuse of business tools out there,” Scott explains. “The best advice for anything in business and life is to use common sense but we over-complicate things. It's especially true in my world of social media where we make things sound 10 times harder than they really are.”

His book includes real-life examples along with tips and guidance on experts, human resources, marketing/branding, networking and customer service.

Scott is the President of, a company that combines efforts in viral, social and authentic marketing. He has appeared on and, and in the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and Fast Company. The author of UnMarketing, Scott is a graduate of Sheridan’s 1998 Business – Human Resources program.

QR Codes Kill Kittens is available in bookstores on October 14. Find out more here
