Glen Sharpe Honoured with Aboriginal Educators Award

Dr. Glen Sharpe (General Arts and Sciences, 1989) has been honoured with an Aboriginal Circle of Educators Award (A.C.E.) in the category of Research/Curriculum Development.

The A.C.E. Education Awards recognize educators and leaders who promote and support Aboriginal perspectives in the classroom and community. Glen is Associate Professor in the Concurrent and Consecutive Education Teacher Training Program at Nipissing University. A member of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte, he has a special interest in issues facing Ontario’s native youth.

Glen’s commitment to student support netted him Nipissing’s Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award in 2012. He will receive the A.C.E. Circle of Educators Award at a ceremony in February 2015.
