Auction to Honour Memory of Applied Photography Alumnus

April 11, 2013

A silent auction to raise funds for the Gian Carlo Drueco Award will be held at Silverline Studios in Toronto on Thursday, May 16. Gian Drueco (Applied Photography, 2008) passed away in July 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. His partner, and fellow Applied Photography graduate, Michelle Repasky (2009) created the memorial fund in Gian’s honour to support awards for photography students. Part of the Shine 3 photography exhibition, the auction will feature the work of many of the city’s most talented Toronto photographers, both established and emerging.

All money raised from the 2013 auction will go toward the Gian Carlo Drueco Award, a graduating prize for fourth-year students in Sheridan's photography program. The annual award is intended to support the graduate who expresses the talent and spirit that Gian shared with the world through his work.
