2016 Sheridan Golf

A perfect day for golf: Sheridan tournament raises $65,000

It was a spectacular day for golf on Tuesday, Sept. 13, with 120 golfers taking on the challenging Masters course at Lionhead Golf Club. The winning team from Cushman & Wakefield scored -12 in the scramble format with many others not far off the mark. Contest winners won a variety of prizes including Toronto Blue Jays, Toronto FC and World Cup of Hockey tickets, and there was something for everyone at the silent auction.

Golfers were treated to demonstrations by students and faculty from Sheridan’s Centre for Elder Research and Sheridan’s Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Design Technologies which included drones flying overhead and capturing photographs and video of the players (pictured). Sheridan is grateful to the support of its corporate partners, led by presenting sponsor Campus Living Centres, who sponsored the event or purchased foursomes. In total, $65,000 was raised for Sheridan's Get Creative Campaign in support of the expansion of the Hazel McCallion Campus in Mississauga.
