Special performance The Theory of Relativity

Time 8:00 PM

Location Trafalgar - Theatre Sheridan - 1430 Trafalgar Rd., Oakville, Ontario

To launch the “Song, Stage and Screen” three-day international conference of papers, talks and practical demonstrations about musical theatre, being held at Sheridan College from June 24 – 26, 2014, students and alumni from Sheridan’s Music Theatre Performance program will stage a special performance of The Theory of Relativity. They will also be joined by alumni from musical theatre programs from the Hartt School at the University of Hartford, The Boston Conservatory, and the University of Michigan, all of whom have taken part in a workshop for this new musical. Written by Brian Hill and Neil Bartram, The Theory of Relativity was first workshopped in 2013 as part of Theatre Sheridan’s Canadian Music Theatre Project - Canada’s first incubator for the development of new musical theatre works by Canadian and international composers, lyricists and book-writers. To date the Theory of Relativity has been presented at Sheridan, Penn State, The Goodspeed Opera House in Connecticut and at the Iris Theatre in London, England.

A limited number of tickets are available for Sheridan Alumni. To arrange for tickets, please call the Alumni Office at 905-815-4078
