Sean McNabney

Sean  McNabney



Sean McNabney earned his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from The University of Western Ontario, where he also completed his Master of Arts degree with a focus on the study of American Literature. In 2011, Sean began his doctoral studies at York University, where he continues to pursue his research interests in the Western and Detective Fiction genres, gender and cultural studies, historiography, creativity, and narrativity.

With a background in book publishing and marketing, Sean joined Sheridan as a faculty member in 2008 and has taught Communications courses, literary studies electives, and has served as Coordinator in three separate portfolios: English Communications, General Education, and Degree Breadth. A member of College Council from 2010-2013, he served as the Council’s Chair for the 2012-2013 academic year; he has also been a member of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences’ Local Academic Council since 2011 and is currently the Chair of its Program Quality Assurance subcommittee.
