Monique Kampherm

Professor

Monique Kampherm grew up in Toronto, Ontario, and completed a BA in Administrative and Commercial Studies (2000) and MA in Political Science (2003) at Western University. Upon completion of her MA in Political Science, Monique worked as a Policy Advisor for the Government of Ontario.

With a quest for more knowledge and adventure, Monique continued her education in England, United Kingdom, where she completed a MA in Multimedia Journalism (2007). During her time in the UK, Monique gained journalistic experience at Sky News Business and BBC Watchdog. 

Returning to Canada, Monique became a Course Director at York University in the Writing Department and Professor at Seneca College in the School of English and Liberal Studies. 

Currently, Monique is an experienced lecturer in professional writing and business communications. Monique is passionate for teaching higher education and excels in engaging students and motivating them to learn, explore new ideas, and inquire about topical issues. Monique came to Sheridan in 2013 as a Professor in the School of Communication and Literary Studies and is excited to be teaching at such a dynamic and innovative institution.
