Janet  Shuh

Associate Dean


Janet Shuh is the Associate Dean of the School of Social and Life Sciences at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.  Prior to entering into the Ontario College sector, Janet held successive corporate policy roles and served as the Executive Policy Advisor to a Deputy Minister in the Ontario Public Service.  After eight years teaching theoretical and applied criminology courses at Sheridan, Janet transitioned into the Associate Dean role where she provides academic leadership to the General Arts and Science Program and all social and life sciences faculty and curriculum.  Janet was the recipient of the NISOD [National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development] Award for Teaching and Leadership Excellence in 2012.  She holds a Bachelor of Social Science from the University of Ottawa and a Master of Arts from the Interdisciplinary School of Criminology at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada.  As an engaged member of the Sheridan community, Janet actively participates in various different committees, including: the Senate Academic Policy; Student Success and Advancement, and Pathways and Partnerships committees.
