Anthony  Tavares

Anthony J. Tavares joined Sheridan in 2017 and has taught in the areas of Chemistry and Mathematics and is currently the coordinator for the Pre-Health Sciences and General Arts and Sciences pathways to advanced diplomas and degrees. Anthony graduated in 2009 with an H.BSc. degree in Chemistry and a Ph.D in Analytical Chemistry in 2014 with Prof. Ulli Krull in the area of nanotechnology and biosensors from the University of Toronto. Prior to joining Sheridan, Anthony was a CIHR postdoctoral research fellow in cancer nanomedicine in Prof. Warren Chan’s lab at the University of Toronto and worked towards understanding and creating efficient nano-chemotherapeutics. Anthony’s research areas of interest are aimed at designing nanoparticles for the detection and treatment of cancer.
