Mark Meldrum received a Bachelor of Arts from Brock University, both a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Windsor and was awarded a PhD from The Weatherhead School of Management at Cleveland’s Case Western Reserve University.  Meldrum taught at the University of Windsor at both the undergrad and graduate levels for almost seven years before joining the Sheridan team.  While at the University of Windsor, Meldrum wrote and published a book titled “University Rules: A Student’s Handbook” that is available on Amazon.  In between his MBA and PhD Dr. Meldrum amassed almost 10 years of experience as an entrepreneur in the IT sector.  Most recently he was a non-managing founding member of a publicly traded Angel Fund called Essex Angel Capital traded on the TSX Venture Exchange.     

Dr. Meldrum has also been an independent trader for over 10 years with extensive experience in all asset classes with a recent focus on energy products.  Dr. Meldrum has also been a frequent contributor to the financial media including writing a weekly column on the Canadian dollar that has appeared in numerous CanWest papers across Canada and hosting a weekly radio show on financial matters called The Wealth Professor (AM800-Windsor).  He has developed continuing education courses hosted through St Clair College introducing retail investors to options, currencies, and futures markets.
