Judy Suke, DTM

Judy Suke

Professor, Business Communications

Judy Suke has been a professor at Sheridan College School of Business since January 2006. She teaches Business Communication to first year students, and Reports and Presentations to second year students. Judy brings a wealth of knowledge from her years as a Human Resources Manager in the corporate world. She is known for her use of humour and through stories from her own experience she builds a strong and lasting understanding of the material. Her students say she is “informative, entertaining, and memorable.” In addition to her work with Sheridan College, she is a Motivational Humorist in demand for keynotes and workshops. She is also  co-author of “From the Stage to the Page – Life Lessons from Four Funny Ladies”, “How to be a Master of Ceremonies”, “Big Ideas for the Big Stage”, and “Leaving a Legacy – A Guide to Writing a Book of Your Own”. She was proud to be a contributing writer for the textbook “Business Communication process and product, 6th Canadian edition. Passionate about writing, she acts as a manuscript developer to help others get their story to print. Throughout the years, Judy has earned many awards of achievement and certificates of appreciation including: “Mississauga Woman of the Year” for volunteer work; Peel Apprenticeship Board’s “Employer of the Year” for work with apprentices in the electrical trade; District 60 “Toastmaster of the Year” for leadership; The Ontario Government’s Certificate for “Excellence in Human Resources”; and she was named the “Pinnacle Business Woman of Distinction” for excellence in education and training. She has earned her Distinguished Toastmaster Award, the highest level in Toastmasters.
