We invite all Post-Secondary Educators to join the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology at the Sheridan-Minerva Canada Safety Learning Forum at Davis Campus on May 5, 2016.

Minerva Canada's mission is to equip post-secondary students with the knowledge and commitment to implement Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) management systems in their future workplace. With the goal of providing tools, resources and training modules to support the implementation of safety-focused content in post-secondary curricula, objectives of this learning forum include:

• Informing educators about the safety knowledge that industry, government, accreditation bodies and regulatory associations are seeking from post-secondary graduates
• Facilitating discussions on how to develop curriculum focused on safety
• Illustrating how Minerva can support the delivery of safety curriculum through the use of its teaching modules
• Demonstrating how faculty can partner with Minerva to develop teaching modules for use across Canadian post-secondary institutions

A detailed agenda is on the registration site and includes distinguished guest speakers The Hon. Kevin Flynn, Ontario’s Minister of Labour, and Gerard McDonald, Registrar of Professional Engineers Ontario.

Registration is open for faculty members until April 30th at
