Michael Burrell

Michael Burrell

Professor, School of Applied Computing

Michael Burrell was born in Saskatchewan. He has been fiddling with BASIC interpreters since he could read and write. His interest in computers grew, and eventually took him to London, Ontario for graduate studies in computer science. He researched computational properties of genetic processes and new programming languages. He worked on digital cable boxes and accounting in the telephone industry before feeling the need to get back into teaching.
