Frank Sfendeles

Professor, School of Skilled Trades

Frank Sfendeles joined the Sheridan team in 2018. He is a Professor in Plumbing and teaches courses in the Mechanical Techniques-Plumbing Program. Prior to working at Sheridan, Frank taught at Humber College for more than seven years. He initially taught in the Apprenticeship program before helping start the Plumbing Techniques program. He served as program co-ordinator for a period of time and played a central role in designing the curriculum and composing course materials. He also spearheaded an initiative which introduced Plumbing Techniques graduates to potential employers - something that he is still passionate about. In addition, Frank maintains his accreditations and remains connected with the latest advancements in the Plumbing industry.

Frank holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology (University of Toronto). He also holds the following licenses:  Ontario Plumbing License, Masters Plumbing License and G2 Gas Technician Certificate.

Frank has more than 20 years of experience in the mechanical construction industry. After graduating from university, he started his construction business and pursued the plumbing trade. Along the way, he joined a leading mechanical contracting company and spent eight years in various positions and gaining experience in Estimating, Foremanship, and finally Project Management.

Throughout his career, Frank has won several awards, notably:
The Doug McRitchie Memorial Scholarship (Aviation), 
Scarborough Chamber of Commerce Scholarship (Aviation), 
The UA Local 46 JTAC 2008 Outstanding ICI Plumber Award. 

In his spare time, Frank is a hobbyist beekeeper. Together with his family, they enjoy spending time outdoors and appreciating the beauty of nature.
