Daniel Rafique

Professor, School of Architectural Technology

Daniel Rafique received a Master of Architecture degree from the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation at Columbia University in New York City, and a Bachelor of Technology in Architectural Science from Ryerson Polytechnic University in Toronto. While at Columbia he was selected as a teaching assistant to undergraduate design classes at Barnard and Columbia colleges for four consecutive semesters, and to a drawing class in the graduate program. He has worked as an Intern Architect at large and small offices in Victoria, British Columbia and Toronto, Ontario, and as a designer and technologist in New York. His professional work includes the conceptual and schematic planning and subsequent design development of multiple tenant residential buildings, small commercial buildings, health care facilities, a private home, and 3D architectural visualization.   

Daniel has been teaching technical design studios, advanced electives, and computer-aided design at Sheridan’s Faculty of Applied Science and Technology since 2011 where he continues his passion for and dedication to teaching and learning.
