Profile
Tiffany is a professor at Sheridan College in the Practical Nursing (PN) program within the Faculty of Applied Health and Community Studies (FAHCS). She holds a Honours Bachelor's of Nursing from York University (BScN) and graduated with her Master of Nursing (MN) degree from Ryerson University, focusing on Health Policy and Community Illness. Tiffany began teaching within the PN program in September, 2015. She has over a decade of nursing experience, starting her career in nursing at The Hospital for Sick Children as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Adolescent Medicine and Psychiatry. During her time working at The Hospital for Sick Children, she opted for partaking in facilitating educational opportunities. Some included seminars to colleagues, educational days to patients and families, and lastly, a mental health nurse consultant with Sick Kids International. Tiffany was able to travel and spend weeks in Doha Qatar to develop their mental health program. Tiffany's teaching philosophy encompasses a reciprocal relationship between the learner and instructor in terms of expectations, respect, being aware of her audience in terms of similarities and differences, providing high educational standards in terms of the best practice, and lastly, inspiring confidence. In her spare time, she like to volunteer with the Black Health Alliance and Heart and Stroke Foundation.
