Robert Lusty retired from the Peel Regional Police after 30 years of policing. He attained the rank of Detective and was last assigned to the Peel Regional Police Fraud Bureau where he led the Majors Investigative Team.  Rob has extensive experience in criminal investigation in the areas of sexual assault, robbery, homicide and Intelligence.  Rob was a Hostage Negotiator for 21 years and led one of Peel’s negotiation teams. Rob earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from Queen’s University Belfast and his Master of Disaster and Emergency Management from Royal Roads University. Rob lectured at the Canadian Police College on Crisis Negotiation and Incident Command. He also lectured at the Ontario Police College and Peel Regional Police Training Bureau. Rob holds four Police Service Board awards for excellence in policing.
