Magdalena is a Professor of Early Childhood Education in the Faculty of Applied Health and Community Studies at Sheridan. She holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum Theory and Implementation (Simon Fraser University), Masters of Arts in Early Childhood Studies (Ryerson University), as well as a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (Ryerson University).

Magdalena’s current academic interests focus on young children's experiences and connections with natural environments, forest/outdoor programs, reflective practice, child-centered research methodologies, phenomenological and qualitative research methodologies.

Throughout the past several years, Magdalena has been working with families in early childhood settings, including child-care centres, resource settings, hospital settings, and outdoor childhood programs. Prior to joining Sheridan College, Magdalena taught in College as well as University settings, and provided teacher training workshops on children’s yoga through storytelling in British Columbia.
