Kerry teaches Kinesiology and Health Promotion. She teaches in both Fundamentals of Fitness Leadership and Bachelor of Health Sciences (Kinesiology and Health Promotion Degree Program) in the Faculty of Applied Health and Community Studies at Sheridan College. She received her Masters of Public Health from Lakehead University. Her thesis research investigated the relative perspective of the regulation of kinesiology among other health professionals. She has extensive experience in the fitness industry and community health promotion spanning over two decades.  Kerry’s teaching areas include individual and population health and wellness, health promotion planning and evaluation, health communications, community based participatory practices, fitness business and professional practice.

Sheridan Research Focus
Kerry has been involved in numerous community based research projects including; identifying barriers to physical activity, childhood obesity, community wellness and community based participatory practice.She has been integral in the research and writing of a Community Well Being Report for the Headwaters Region. Her current research interests include; engaging post-secondary students in active healthy living, the use and evaluation of community based participatory practice in health promotion and the investigation of interdisciplinary and sectoral approaches to improve physical activity and healthy life style choices.
