George Bernard Shaw once said “We do not stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing!”   I could not agree more about the value of play, and play-based learning. Play has the power to transform people, and nowhere is that more evident than in young children.

Before joining Sheridan in 2003, I worked extensively with children, families and Early Childhood Educators in a variety of programs and services across Ontario.  As an active participant in life-long learning I have been able to advocate for children, families and Early Childhood Educators both domestically and internationally. With more than 25 years of experience in a variety of roles in early learning programs I fully believe that preserving and honouring the cultural, spiritual and linguistic traditions of people is integral to the optimal and healthy development of all children and their families.

As an AVID runner, and self-described shoe lover, I take shoes very seriously, owning almost 100 pairs.  I truly believe shoes are an art form and they need to be honoured; what better way to respect them than to display them everywhere I go!
