Cameile Henry is a Professor and Academic Advisor of ECE at the Sheridan Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning, where she has been a proud faculty member since 2008. Prior to her joining the Early Childhood Education program team at Sheridan, she was involved in many projects which included; Education for All Global Monitoring Report and Meeting on Early Childhood Care and Education and Kid’s Coaching Connection. She was also featured in an article by the Association of Early Childhood Educators of Ontario ‘My Educational Journey: From ECE Diploma to Masters Degree’.

Cameile still dreams of travelling and immersing herself into the world of ECE on a global scale. She has a hunger that drives her passion to share her knowledge with communities. Cameile’s interest in the global dynamics of ECE, played a role in the creation of 2 international placement partnerships in Grenada and St. Vincent, in the Caribbean. Through the International Placements, students can immerse themselves in a new culture and share their knowledge and understanding which serves to develop a reciprocal relationship with the host country.

Cameile’s current community involvement includes direct contact with children and families, specifically in the GTA. She currently performs puppet shows that focus on self-esteem and children empowerment. She also provides workshops for parents and those working with children in areas of Understanding your Preschool Child, Behaviour Guidance Strategies to support your child’s development, Bullying: The Bully, The Bullied and the Bystander, and Understanding the way our children learn (Exploring the 8 Learning Styles).
