Mary Libby

Faculty, Interior Decorating

Mary Libby is a professional interior designer and registered member of the Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario (ARIDO). She is also NCIDQ certified. Throughout her career in interior design, she has garnered a wealth of experience in Corporate Office, Hospitality, Health Care, Retail, and Residential design.

Mary has over twenty-two years of post-secondary teaching experience and is a full-time professor with the Faculty of Animation, Arts & Design at Sheridan College. She teaches courses in multiple programs, including Interior Design, Interior Decorating, and Visual Merchandising Arts.

Mary holds a Master of Arts in Art History and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto. Also, she holds a Bachelor of Interior Design from Ryerson University. Mary was the 2016 recipient of a generous scholarship from the University of Toronto School of Graduate Studies. Her current areas of academic interest include teaching International Learners and the role of Active Learning in student success.
