Michele has a B.A. in History from Concordia University and a M.A. in Islamic Studies from the Institute of Islamic Studies at McGill University. She was a Ph.D student in the department of Middle East Studies at the University of Toronto.
Michele has taught many different courses over the years, but now concentrates on Perspectives on World Issues, Mass Media and Current Events, Truth and Perception in the Middle East, and The Impact of Culture on the Canadian Workplace.
Michele's articles on the Middle East (primarily on Iraq) and Canadian political issues have been published in the Toronto Star and the Globe and Mail.
Michele is also a partner in a private business which provides communication and culture courses to business people in their place of work.
