About Course Evaluations

How Course Evaluations Work

  • All full-semester (and half semester in the Summer term) Sheridan courses receive course evaluation surveys.
  • For most courses, students have four (4) weeks to complete their evaluations.
  • Students receive up to six (6) email reminders, depending on the evaluation period. Efforts from Instructors and Associate Deans can be effective in encouraging student participation.
  • Instructors have access to their results approximately 4 to 5 weeks after the end of the term.

What are BLUE Course Evaluations?

BLUE is Sheridan's online course evaluation system. Students have the opportunity to provide written comments and numerical ratings near the end of each course.

BLUE facilitates all aspects of the official course evaluation process: students giving anonymous feedback, and instructors and administrators reviewing it.

The BLUE system is key to Sheridan’s ongoing work to provide students with enriching learning experiences. Student involvement in this process is critical to enhance the general quality of teaching and learning and all students are strongly encouraged to participate.
