Stephen Paquette has been a community builder for over 30 years in a variety of roles. Prior to serving as proud member of the Toronto Police Service and the Annishinabek Police Service, Stephen was responsible for asset protection and risk management for a major Canadian retailer. He then shifted his focus to Social work, where he empowered individuals coping with addictions and mental health issues in their pursuit towards housing and stability. In addition to having served on a number of boards, he was also responsible for facilitating organizational change and providing leadership to one of the largest Indigenous Youth Centers in Canada.
Stephen now operates Stillwater.4d providing guidance and support to the Halton and Halton Catholic school boards, Halton Children’s Aid, Sheridan College and the Prince’s Charities Canada. Through his business he was invited to collaborate with the Ministry of Education’s Indigenous curriculum writing team and is currently supporting the roll out of this initiative. His community involvement includes providing guidance to The Partnership for Truth andReconciliation with the Oakville Community Foundation and several other local partners.
