
John E. Fleming

John has received several awards, including the Government of Canada Sesquicentennial Award, which recognized his work to better the community, particularly his leadership with Ovarian Cancer Canada; the Robert Baldwin Award, Ontario’s highest award for municipal public service for his contributions to municipal government in Ontario; and the Make a Difference Recognition Award, presented by the Ministry of Community, Family and Children’s Services, for outstanding achievement.
He has also published articles in the FCM Forum and Bulletin of Canadian Welfare Law.
John obtained a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto, a Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University, and holds the Chartered Director (C. Dir) designation. He also completed the School of Business Governance program at Queen’s University.
