Dancing with Parkinson's

The Parkinson's Support Group is hosting two Dancing with Parkinson's public events during the month of May. They invite you to join them for a fun filled hour of dancing on Friday May 3rd and Friday May 17th at 2pm at Maple Grove United Church (346 maple Grove Dr., Oakville). For more information, and to register, please call (905) 845-5721 or email mguc@cogeco.net. The parking, doors and washrooms are all accessible and there is lots of parking at the back of the church. Caregivers are welcome, so spread the news about this great event!

The Canadian Innovation Exchange (CIX) annual forum took place in Toronto on November 27th, 2012 and 20 of Canada's Hottest Innovation Companies presented to an audience of 500 of Canada's top business leaders, investors and entrepreneurs. Attendees picked the People's Choice Awards with Montreal's Frank & Oak taking the top spot in the Digital Media category and Toronto's Jibestream named the fan favourite of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) finalists.

The International Federation on Ageing (IFA) and TURYAK Seniors Council Association is proud to announce the International Istanbul Initiative on Ageing (IIIA). The IIIA is an international platform created to encourage and engage government leaders, prominent industry members, NGOs, academics, and innovative thinkers in discussions on the consequences and opportunities that demographic change could bring to the nations in the Middle East, Northern Africa, and Eastern Europe.

Over $50,000 (USD) in financial awards will be presented to Age-Friendly submissions and the best overall paper of the congress, with additional awards for the best paper in each theme.
