Sheridan College offers a variety of tutoring supports and services. Learning Centres, located at Davis, Trafalgar and HMC campuses in the Library and Learning Commons, offer students a centralized space to receive tutoring and access course-related resources and materials.
The Learning Centre offers a variety of tutoring services to help students understand the materials presented to them by their instructors and in their textbooks. The centre also offers free learning strategies workshops, ESL support and Conversation Circles, and group tutoring in a variety of popular subjects like Presentation Skills, Accounting and Java.
The more successful you are as a student, the better your prospects are for getting a successful start on your career. We encourage all students to use our tutoring services and supports for learning, academic support and success in their studies.
Peer Tutors are Sheridan students selected to tutor other students, based on their strong academic performance. Peer tutors perform an important and meaningful function in assisting other students with their studies. In return, they gain useful work experience and satisfaction derived from helping others.
