Program Profiles – Information for Research

The following Program Profiles were created as a courtesy to help with your Better Jobs Ontario research requirement. Your Employment Consultant will discuss the research requirements with you. Each profile addresses the 30 or so questions you're required to answer.

Things to keep in mind when choosing and researching your program:

Program duration

The program you select must be one year (52 weeks) or less in duration in order to qualify for Better Jobs Ontario funding. The Program Profiles provided here represent Sheridan programs that meet this requirement. This includes Sheridan's full-time Certificate and Ontario College Graduate Certificate programs, as well as part-time micro-credential programs offered through Sheridan's Continuing and Professional Studies.

National Occupation Classification (NOC) codes

Better Jobs Ontario funds programs that lead to occupations that fall under the National Occupation Classification (NOC) codes of B or C. The Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development determines which programs are fundable for an individual. Please note that from the Ministry's perspective, the Program Profiles provided here may or may not fall under the appropriate NOC. Your Employment Consultant or Ministry Representative is the only one who can determine your eligibility for Better Jobs Ontario funding for a particular program.
