Offers of Admission

Admission to many Sheridan programs is limited. As a result, not all qualified applicants can be admitted. A waiting list of eligible applicants is maintained for each program. Applicants are selected from that list until the program is full or up to the fifth day of class, whichever comes first.

Types of offers

Firm offers of admission

If your admission status is firm, you must accept your offer of admission by the deadline noted at ontariocolleges.ca. A firm offer means that all conditions have been met.

Conditional offers of admission

If your admission status is conditional, you must accept your offer of admission by the deadline noted at ontariocolleges.ca. You can view your conditions and outstanding requirements through Sheridan's Application Portal. All conditions must be met by the date noted on the offer.

In the case of Conditional Offers of Admission, Sheridan reserves the right to withdraw its offer of admission if the applicant does not meet the outstanding requirement prior to the start of the program.

Alternate offers of admission

Applicants who do not meet the admission requirements for a specific program will be assessed and advised individually and may be considered for other, related programs.

Offers to modified programs

Certain computing and engineering technology programs offer modified curriculum for students who do not meet the minimum math admissions requirements. Students in a modified program will be required to take extra math course(s), normally in the first semester. An applicant who receives an offer to a modified program will receive further information with their offer about additional math course(s) and their associated fees.

Offers to co-op programs

Applicants who receive an offer of admission to a co-op program should be aware that there are additional application instructions and co-op admission requirements that must be met. More information can be found at our Co-op and Internship page.

Programs will be offered subject to sufficient enrolment.

How to accept your offer of admission

Please accept your offer of admission by going to ontariocolleges.ca. There's an offer deadline indicated within your Ontario Colleges account — don't miss this deadline, or your offer may expire.
