It is a breach of academic honesty to falsely claim credit for the ideas, writing, projects, or creations of others either by presenting such works as your own or through impersonation. Similiarly, it is a breach of academic honesty to cheat, attempt or actually alter, suppress, falsify or fabricate any research data or results, official academic record, application or document.
All Sheridan faculty members, staff and students are expected to be vigilant regarding breaches of academic honesty and are responsible for taking approapriate action when it is believed that a breach of academic honesty has occurred. All suspected breaches of academic honesty will be investigatged. A finding of guilt will lead to the imposition of a penalty from the range of sanctions. A lack of familiiarity with the Policy and Guidelines on Academic Honesty on the part of any member of the Sheridan community does not constitute a defense against misconduct. Please email ceinfo@sheridaninstitute.ca for full details on this policy and procedures.
