On October 24, 2008 the McGuinty Government announced plans to expand Second Career training across the province. Second Career was launched in June 2008 to help laid-off Ontarians identify and train for new careers in growing employment sectors.

Heidi Overhill, a professor in Sheridan's School of Animation, Arts & Design, was an integral part of the design team for the SizeChina project which took the Gold Medal in the Design Research category at this year's IDEA08 competition, which announced its winners today.
Sheridan's Paralegal Program is Accredited by The Law Society of Upper Canada

Sheridan is one of the first colleges in Ontario and in the Greater Toronto Area to have a Paralegal* program accredited by the Law Society of Upper Canada. Sheridan's program underwent a rigorous screening process to ensure that its curriculum meets the standards and competencies for paralegal education program accreditation set out by the Law Society.
