Exceptional Educators, Innovative Learning

Each professor in the Sheridan Marketing program is not only an outstanding educator, but also an experienced businessperson who knows what it’s like to work in the real world. These talented professors use highly creative means to teach.

Here are a few of the things you'll do and learn:

  • Conduct market research for an actual client and use it as background for a marketing plan
  • Write marketing plans that analyze the unique situation a firm faces, and make recommendations on actions to keep the organization competitive
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations and advertising plans
  • Learn the basic principles of customer relationship management and supply chain management, along with a broad range of strategies to optimize both
  • Get prepared for the challenges of global marketing
  • Apply basic skills in marketing graphics to generate support materials such as brochures, newsletters and Web page updates
  • Develop, plan and execute a college-wide event for charity

Mobile Computing Gives Flexibility and Added Learning Options

Both in class and out, you'll connect to class activities, notes and presentations via your laptop computer. You have access to the materials 24/7 and can visit chat rooms to discuss assignments with classmates and/or professors.

You'll use your laptop as a tool by using industry-leading software, conducting research, creating presentations, and developing marketing collateral during your classes. Equipped with your own copy of the software and access to the college's extensive resources, you can complete your projects and assignments at school or at home.

Co-op Opportunity

If you’re a three-year Marketing advanced diploma student, you can add valuable work experience to your résumé through cooperative education. You’ll spend your final two years in the program alternating between school and work, applying what you're learning in class to the workplace. With Co-op, you'll graduate with a full year of marketing work experience!

Extra-curricular involvement

The Sheridan Marketing experience extends beyond the classroom. Students get involved in a variety of extra-curricular activities such as the student-run organizations:  Sheridan Marketing Committee, Business Council and Sheridan Student Union. Sheridan Marketing students also successfully represent the college at the Ontario Colleges Marketing Competition and the BDC Case Challenge (Canada-wide).

Additional Academic Opportunities – Earn a Diploma and a Degree

Graduates of the three-year Business Administration–Marketing Program with an acceptable grade point average have the option of continuing their education at Sheridan to earn a Bachelor Degree in Global Business Management.

Alternatively, graduates can go on to complete a Bachelor of Business Administration or Commerce Degree in as little as two years, at Canadian universities such as Ryerson, Nipissing, Lakehead or Athabasca; or the Bachelor of Business Administration programs at Northwood University in Michigan and Griffith University in Australia. Graduates of bachelor's degrees may be interested in pursuing a Master of Business Administration.

Convenient Learning

The two-year Marketing diploma program can be completed during the day on campus, or through evening, weekend and online study. You get the same curriculum, delivered with the flexibility to meet your busy lifestyle.

The Marketing diploma program is located at the Davis Campus in Brampton, Ontario and the Hazel McCallion Campus in Mississauga, Ontario.
