Mitch has a degree from the University of Waterloo in political science and a diploma in print journalism from Sheridan.

He has traveled across the world. He worked in Mongolia as a full-time journalist for the Mongol Messenger. As a general assignment reporter he covered economic development, the mining industry, cultural events and wrote feature length pieces on his travels to some of the most remote and untouched portions of Mongolia. While in China he found employment as a part-time actor in Chinese soap operas.

Today he works at CBC Newsworld as an associate producer on the weekend show. Among his highlights: coverage of the 2007 Ontario election, turmoil in Pakistan and Canada’s mission in Afghanistan. He regularly produces “View from the Hill,” featuring a weekly look at Canadian federal politics and a monthly media panel that features analysis of the new media landscape.

Mitch is a published poet and writes fiction. A short story was turned into a short film Horoscope (2005 Penny Productions). He lives in Toronto with his fish and his girlfriend.
