Sheridan Student Services

Sheridan offers a wide variety of student services to help your student succeed both in and out of the classroom. Some of the services we offer include:

Athletics and Recreation

Sheridan's athletics and recreation facilities give students an opportunity to stay fit and compete in a variety of varsity and intramural sports. All full-time Sheridan students receive a free athletic membership that gives them access to our facilities.

Career Centre

The Career Centre is an invaluable resource for students. Career Centre staff can assist your child to find a tutor, explore career options, plan for further education and assist in finding part-time and summer jobs.

Counselling Services

Counselling Services are offered to assist students in building solutions to their own personal, emotional or interpersonal concerns that may be impacting their academic success at Sheridan. Counselling appointments are free, confidential and readily available for the student's benefit.

Disability Services

Sheridan is committed to providing access and accommodation for students with disabilities by coordinating reasonable accommodation and support for eligible students. Accommodation plans and services are tailored to meet the individual needs of each student and are determined based on documentation provided and program specific requirements. In order to be eligible to receive any type of accommodation, a student must disclose to the Disability Services Office staff and provide appropriate and current documentation.

Health Services

Confidential, full health services are available to students at the Davis and Trafalgar Road. Students may drop-in to see a registered nurse or make an appointment to see a doctor about their health needs.

International Students

TheĀ Sheridan International Centre provides a comprehensive range of services for international students. Our dedicated and supportive team of professionals take pride in caring for our international students' needs every step of the way.

Sheridan's staff and International Peer Mentors work to assist international students with social and cultural integration.

Library Services

Sheridan's library services provide many resources are available to students at our two, onsite libraries or through our many 24/7 services.

Peer Mentors

Peer Mentors are students helping students. Peer Mentors work in all departments of Student Services, providing invaluable assistance to fellow students. They have top academic skills and are genuinely interested in helping other students succeed at Sheridan!

Student Advisement Centre

"Got Questions? Get Answers!" This is your student's first point of contact if they have any questions or concerns while at Sheridan. The dedicated staff of the Student Advisement Centre work closely with Sheridan's Academic Schools and service areas to provide the advice, information and assistance that your child will need to successfully navigate their way through their Sheridan experience.

Student Union Health Plan

The Sheridan SU Health and Dental Plan is a valuable service provided by Sheridan's Student Union to fill the gaps left by provincial health care.

If your child is already covered by an extended health and dental plan, you can opt out of the Sheridan SU Health and Dental plan by providing proof of other equivalent health and dental coverage.
